We are located in Downtown Nevada on the corner of Lincoln Highway and 6th Street, the same town where Mari’s great-great-grandparents were married and started their lives together in 1861. We are centrally located just 8 minutes East of Ames and 30 minutes from Marshalltown, Ankeny, and Story City.

Mari wanted to work closer to home.  She told her mother, Catherine, and they came up with the idea of starting a mattress business on Main Street (6th Street) in downtown Nevada, Iowa.  The same town where Mari’s mother, grand parents, great-grand parents, and great-great grand parents grew up.  

It took a lot of planning and work, but in 2013, Mari opened Sweet Dreams Mattress Center in Nevada.

The goal was to offer the best products at the lowest prices and to provide custom service to everyone shopping for a mattress or any accessory at Sweet Dreams.

Mari has a process for helping customers select the right mattress the first time.  We take the stress our of it by providing personalized service.  It takes time to be properly fit for a mattress or any of the many bedding products we offer so allow time when visiting. 

It starts with a fresh sheet and pillow case for every customer.  When you shop Sweet Dreams Mattress Center, prepare to be pampered.  We want you comfortable while testing beds.  It is so much nicer to be on a fresh sheet, instead of a mattress hundreds of people have laid on.
